Volunteer Opportunities:

We are putting together a team for summer property maintenance. Please e-mail jacob.garramone@legacyk8.org if you can help!

    • Mow and weed-whack the property. This needs to be done three times over the summer.
    • Re-spread playground chips. Bring a rake and work gloves.
    • Adopt a Month! Help clean up the property! You can make this volunteer opportunity a family affair! Bring the whole family, trash bags, and gloves to help clean up the Legacy Academy property. Legacy Academy Musical This Friday

The Legacy Academy Theatre Class invites you to our production of “The Ever After – A Musical.” This musical answers the age-old question, “Is The Ever After really as happy as everyone expected?” In a hilarious parody of daytime Tv, host Sally Lizzie Jesse Donatello-Griffin wonders if time truly heals all wounds. She invites Cinderella and her middle-aged ‘beauty-impaired’ stepsisters to reconcile after being estranged for 20 years. What about Snow White and the Evil Queen? This hysterical fractured fairy tail has it all:  a trash-talking clairvoyant mirror, an unfortunate prince slowly turning back into a frog, and even Jiminy Cricket – now an occupational therapist and author of the book “My Life as Your Conscience.” Punctuated by questions from obnoxious studio audience members and ridiculously funny infomercials, this musical will have you knee-slapping, hand-clapping, and great foot-tapping songs. Join us Friday, April 28, at 6:00 pm in the Legacy gymnasium.

We are excited to announce that we have eight candidates. Please click on the names below to view their letter of intent.

Election Rules

Candidates: The deadline for candidate applications has been extended to April 14th, 2023. Each candidate must submit a one-page campaign statement, which will run in the Legacy Ledger on April 16th and April 23rd.

Campaigning: Candidates may not campaign inside the school building. However, the candidates are strongly encouraged to campaign appropriately outside the school building. Absolutely NO negative campaigning will be permitted.

Time and location: The election for two board members will be held on Friday, April 28th, at Legacy from 7am to 7pm and at Creekside Community Church from 8am to 3pm. Voting ballots will not be accepted after 7pm on April 28, 2023.

Voter eligibility: Eligible voters shall include parents or guardians of all children currently attending Legacy Academy (no more than two votes per household), teachers currently employed at the school, and paid employees of Legacy. Each person may vote only once.

Voting procedures: Voting from 7am to 7pm at Legacy will commence as follows:

• The voter will sign an official voting roster confirming their voting eligibility.

If the election scheduled on April 28th has to be canceled for any reason, it will be held on the following Friday.

The election results should be known on the night of April 28th (unless there is a need for a run-off or a cancellation). After the votes are counted, a report will be made available to the candidates and current board members. An announcement to the entire school population concerning the results of the election will be made on the following morning.
