IMPORTANT GRADUATION INFORMATION

KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION

Kindergarten parents, please be aware that students will attend school for their last day on Friday, May 13, 2022. On Monday, May 16, 2022, we will have their graduation ceremony at 12:30 pm in the gymnasium/cafeteria. Children will arrive at their classrooms by 12:00 pm to put on caps and gowns, and parents will be seated in the gymnasium. We have an inventory of caps and gowns for the children to wear during the ceremony. These will be cleaned before we put them on the children. When the ceremony is completed, we ask parents to go to their cars and get in the front carpool. The children will go to their classrooms to remove gowns and dismiss them through the front carpool area.

EIGHTH GRADE GRADUATION

Eighth Grade Graduation Monday,  May 16, 2022, 5:30 pm.

Graduation gowns need to be ordered in April and they cost $20. An online order form has been created for your convenience. We have to order no later than Thursday, April 07, 2022, to have them arrive in time for graduation. We will send home your students’ caps and gowns on Friday, May 6, 2022. A graduation ceremony is a semi-formal event, so PLEASE be sure to iron your student’s gown. Monday, May 16, 2022, your student must be at school from 8:00 am – 10:00 am and they need to be in uniform and will have a graduation rehearsal. Students must be picked up following rehearsal and will not be allowed to walk off the property. The students will need to be back at school by 4:30 pm and report to Mrs. Murch’s room (the last classroom on the west side of the building before the exit doors). We will have a table to leave refreshments they will bring to share for their party following graduation.  We will send out a sign-up genius so students know what to bring.  PLEASE  arrive promptly at 4:30 pm so we can pass out cords/sashes and get ready. Only eighth-grade students are allowed in the room before the ceremony. The graduation ceremony will begin at 5:30 pm and will last approximately one hour. Afterward, there will be a 10-minute intermission while we prepare the cafeteria for the eighth-grade end-of-the-year dance. This dance is for Legacy Academy eighth-grade students only.  Students will be dismissed out the back east doors and should be picked up promptly at 8:30 pm.  Please note:  We had an error in our eblast, the rehearsal for graduation is Monday, May 16, 2022, (the same day as graduation), not Friday, May 13, 2022.

Students may not bring their blasters to school during school hours. Do not bring your personal darts or discs. Protective eyewear and darts are provided.  Parents are required to sign a waiver before this event; no exceptions will be made. The waiver will be available at the office during school hours and at the event. Concessions will be available. Please write your child’s name on all personal items before the event.

    • Re-spread playground chips – Bring a rake and work gloves. This does not have to be completed during school hours.
    • Adopt a Month! Help clean up the property! You can make this volunteer opportunity a family affair! Bring the whole family, some trash bags, and gloves to help clean up the Legacy Academy property. Each hour that each family member cleans counts towards your hours.
