Girls can be escorted by their Father, Grandfather, Uncle, (or any other special adult). We will share more details soon.
Book Fair Update: First and foremost, Thank you to EVERYONE who helped in one way or another with the Book Fair. There are too many people to name each one individually. I truly could not have done it without your help and support. Thank you. I did want to give a huge shout-out to our very own Walmart here in Elizabeth. They were kind enough to provide the Book Fair with shopping bags for your purchases. Also, I wanted to let everyone know that Ms. Miller (Kindergarten) won the teacher drawing for $25.00 Scholastic dollars to spend at the Fair. Lastly, due to your generous support of the Book Fair, I will be able to add a ton of new books to the library. Thank you. Angelia McGough (Librarian)
No School: There is no school for students on Friday, February 18, 2022, or Monday, February 21, 2022, due to teacher’s in-service and Presidents Day.
Character Attribute for February: Honesty
Sports Update: Our girls’ basketball season is well underway and the girls are doing great! We are very proud of their hard work and the success it has brought. We also have a great group of boys participating in weightlifting who are learning proper form, getting stronger, and having a great time. Boys baseball and girls soccer will be starting after spring break. Please keep an eye on the website and the Monday ledgers for updates.
Pictures for boys and girls basketball and cheer will be on Friday, January 21st. We will have jerseys for boys basketball players, but please bring your black shorts and basketball shoes. Cheer club, please wear your white cheer t-shirts and blue skorts. Girls basketball, make sure you have your full uniforms (including shorts) and basketball shoes.
Please remember, any students staying after school to watch sporting events must have a parent or guardian present and are not allowed to leave the event or school building without an adult for any reason.

Nerf Nite is scheduled for Saturday, January 29th, 2022, 5:30pm – 8pm in the Legacy Academy Gymnasium.
The PTCO card reader is not active and we are in the process of getting this up and running properly, therefore, we are asking parents to bring cash or check for this January Nerf Night.
Currently, Nerf Night is for Legacy families only. Participants must be 7 and up (6- year-olds may play if a parent is in the gym with them). This is an excellent time for families to play together. Parents are invited to play as well. The cost is $10.00 per person. Bring your own blasters to the event (we do not provide blasters). Students may not bring their blasters to school during school hours. Do not bring darts or discs. Protective eyewear and darts are provided. Parents will be required to sign a waiver prior to this event, no exceptions will be made. The waiver will be available at the office during school hours and at the event. Concessions will be available.
Come and enjoy a fun night with your friends and family.
If you have any questions, please email jackie.johannsen@Legacyk8.org or vickey.harjo@legacyk8.org.
We will need help setting up, tearing down, judges, concessions, and food donations. Any parents that donate food or time may apply it to your volunteer hours. ($10 in donations or 1 hour of your time will equal 2 volunteers’ hours).
If we do not have enough volunteers to host this event, we will have to cancel the January Nerf Night.

Every student needs a pair of corded headphones (in-ear, over-ear, it doesn’t really matter) that will work with their iPad and the lab computers (with a 3.5mm jack plug, see image below). The students will be using curriculum that requires them to listen to content with their headphones during class time. Thank you!
