Grand Day is an opportunity for grandparents, parents or any other significant family member or friend to visit our school and have lunch with their grandchild(ren)/child(ren). If you are planning on attending and eating you should have ordered your lunch by November 8, 2019. If there is a special exception please call the office and we will see what we can do. Either way, you can still bring your own lunch and attend. We do ask that you fill out the Grand Day 2019 form so we can get a tentative count of our guests.  Please note – “GRAND DAY GUESTS” NEED TO ARRIVE AT THE EARLIEST TIME LISTED FOR THEIR CLASSROOM TO HAVE LUNCH OR SHOP (WHICHEVER COMES FIRST).

The Legacy Spelling Bee was held on Wednesday. November 20. After nearly 30 founds of spelling, Calla Crookshanks, 6th grade, spelled “entity” correctly and was named the champion. Also representing Legacy Academy at the Elizabeth Schools District Bee in January are 5th graders, Rowan Sander (2nd place) and Jheremyah Workneh (3rd place). Please congratulate our awesome spellers when you see them in the halls!

Excavation underway

Tractors excavating and removing dirt

Hass Inc. has been working with JHL on excavating the grade. Concrete blankets have been brought in to protect the ground from the freezing temperatures we are experiencing this week. We look forward to the next phase of the project; installing the foundation.
