February E-Blast

Dear Legacy Academy Families,

We hope your New Year is off to a great start. Parent Teacher conferences and registration are upon us. You should have received an e-mail to sign-up for conferences, please call us if you didn’t. We are trying to coordinate several events during conferences to make it efficient for everyone. By February 11, 2016, we would like all families to register their returning student for the 2016 – 2017 school year. Our staff will be available during parent teacher conferences to help any families who may need assistance with the registration process. We will also have PTCO here, to receive orders for sweatshirts and physical education uniforms. The Scholastic Book Fair will be open during Parent Teacher Conferences.

Do you have a corner lot or a highly visible location where you would be willing to advertise our school with a yard sign?  We are looking for people who will place a sign in their yard for a three month period, you will receive three hours of volunteer time.  Please e-mail info@legacyk8.org or call the office if you can help!  Thank you.

Valentines

Send your child, friend, parent or teacher a Valentine sucker.  They are currently on sell in the office for $1.00, you can add a sticker so your student can see who sent it. We will send to your student’s classroom during their Valentine’s Day party on February 10, 2016.

Stampede to Read

Legacy Academy is partnering with the Elizabeth Stampede to Read program. This program is a reading incentive for elementary school students. There will an assembly on April 1st at 9am to kick off this wonderful event. All children completing the program will receive a voucher to redeem a child’s rodeo ticket good for Saturday or Sunday afternoon performances only.  Complete details of the program will be sent home with your student after the assembly. Happy reading!!!!!

Volunteer Opportunities

Driveway

The work on our driveway will soon be underway and we could use some help.  We need a 36 inch diameter by 44 foot long culvert.  We are hoping to make a connection for a discount or donation and could use help getting it to the school. We are also looking for a connection for reduced cost or donated concrete.
